Why can you not celebrate all those things on every day of every week? As Christian nothing stops you? God lives in you! We have the freedom to take time off work for rest, relaxation, etc in any number of ways – which work best for us. The coming together of God’s people for worship is very special and I personally find I simply have a strong yearning to be there, so I’ve organised my life so that I can be there, in the same way that I commit to be at work as agreed with my employer. Our rest is now eternally in Christ.

I am an ex adventist. God lead me away from all those rules. Hear you say this scares me. Were they right? Do I have to honor a day set it apart? Does my salvation rely on this?

Rebecca, Sorry that you left adventist. for what you say seems that you missed the real meaning of the Shabbat and God’s law. I hope that the Holy Spirit open your understanding and find peace.

Sabbath is a very important topic for every child of God. we should keep the Sabbath as God commanded. Indeed it reminds us about creation as well as about redemption and His eternal Kingdom!
But it sounds funny when someone “Sabbaths on Sunday”. God established the order of days at the time of creation and Sabbath is a seventh day (not first one). If we truly want to observe God’s command, then we should use his order of days and not ours.

I think you are making an advertisment for the Antichrist power. Please have a look at Sabbathtruth.com – The Israelites didn’t find manna on the Sabbath – The Sabbathday is not just any day a week – it is the day that God blessed. Are we free to choose another day? Da 7:25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time. Who changed God’s Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday? Who is God in your life? God – the Creator? or The Man that call himself god? Mt 15:9 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”

How did she get to Sunday for the Sabbath. The Sabbath is 7th day of the week. You teach the Bible. I suggest she reads it. Ask a Jew or a member of Church of God 7th Day.

I don’t think she will answer you bro! there is no way to do that no matter what Bible translations she uses, with the Bible she can not prove that.

Thank you so much for the course on loving His Torah. It has been a really slow process and I am really enjoyed learning to delight in His Word.
I just wondered in the translation process from the ancient manuscripts how we ever started to declare Father’s instuction and revealing who He is, how we ever started calling the writings “the law”? The Jewish cources i have taken from Israel Study Center have all taught that we have been given a revelation from Father to live in His Presence here while on earth.

Before you thank her you should read your Bible. There is no way to say that the Shabbat is on Sunday… Be careful on what you listen, no all teacher are true teachers. Sorry.

I worked in retail all of my life. The meat department specifically. When I first started, we didn’t sell meat on Sundays. Later it became voluntary, at OT pay. Then it was premium pay. Now it is just another work day at regular pay; Sunday is now the busiest day of the week, and probably for most retail stores. Our country used to honor the Sabbath (Sunday). Now it doesn’t. Remember. The people you want to reach may not be able to go to church with you because they have to work on Sundays. I couldn’t go to church on Sundays for years, because I had to work on Sundays. I didn’t think too much about the Sabbath until I read the prophets recently and saw how important this was to God. And don’t forget. God gave the Sabbath before He gave the law. The law says to REMEMBER the Sabbath. From my experience and thinking, I avoid shopping on Sundays, to honor God and to maybe take the financial incentives for businesses to be open on Sundays. Look at Hobby Lobby and Chick-fil-A. I commend them.

How is it that mentioning that the sabbath is the heart of God and you mention to change what is stipulated explicitly that is the seventh day? plus how is sabbath a day of napping and not a day of congregation since the commandment specifically stated to call an assembly? i get it, christianity has its own means to do what God say, usurping even the work of Jesus who clearly rest, and gather on sabbath, but isn’t it an contradiction to mention “torah”, “sabbath” in the same sentence with ” i do it when i want it”? Not even Jesus dare to contradict or change or change the words written by the most high. Is us who decide to do so for the sake of our own convinience.
